Message from the NHPA President, July 18, 2013 The NASA RIF moratorium that we have enjoyed for the past 10 years is set to expire on October 1, 2013. We have been working with our national union, IFPTE, to extend this protection. Please read the letter to the Senate Appropriators, signed jointly by IFPTE and AFGE, requesting continued bipartisan support to protect us.

Please read the July 2, 2013 memo from the Headquarters Human Resources Management Division to become acquainted with the changes in EPCS element and summary rating calculations and the guidance for using SPACE, the new computerized tool for storing performance plans and tracking the EPCS process. Any questions, please contact the NHPA President, Rhoda Hornstein.<rhoda.s.hornstein@nasa.gov>
